Cute nostalgia! Twinkle comic for girls

Oh my goodness! It's been a while since the last post because of two things: 1. We got a puppy and foolishly thought it wouldn't be that difficult, and 2. one week after getting her I got a cold that left me totally fatigued! Urgh! But the weather's perking up and so have I! Today I want to share with you a collection of Twinkle comics I found on eBay. Twinkle was discontinued in around 2004 I think (not sure) but as a wee nipper in the 90's my Grandma used to have several issues waiting for me as a gift whenever I visited. Obviously when I found the eBay listing I could not resist and here they are!

The illustrations are so cute! (but the lack of diverse races represented sort of irks me now but that's for another blog!) I'm thinking of selecting a few panels and getting them blown up and printed on canvas to hang in my daughter's bedroom. Cute and vintage!

But THEN! Look at this summer fashion spread from the July 13th 1991 issue! I wanna dress this cool now!

Or maybe they were never out! My parents have always had one that they keep crackers in for cheese so imagine my delight when I came across this trendy new design from Happy Jackson ! OMG it's perfect for me!

Hama bead & cross stitch mash-up!

I have been wanting to get into cross stitching recently but I realise it's going to be fiddly and time consuming (which is difficult with a toddler!). Apartment Therapy have just posted these super cute Hama bead home decor crafts! These are the two that caught my eye:

This funky pineapple basket is a whopping £49.99 but I still feel as though I have to have it! I wonder what I'd keep in it...

Unique Leather Hammock Chair

Monday mornings mean one thing to me! AUCTION TIME! It's a lot of dark wood and hit and miss but this week there were a number of gems scattered about! This leather hammock chair was by far the most unique find. Alas, I do not have infinite funds (otherwise I would have been overloaded with people's vintage postcards and photo albums) so I wish whoever snapped up this bargain all the best in making your living space that much more interesting.
